Robert J. Lisman, 76, of West Liberty Street, Ashley, died October 23, 2000, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. 
Born December 7, 1923, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of Jacob J. and Cordelia (Walter) Lisman.  He was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School. 

He worked in the dietary department of Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, and for the Central Railroad, New Jersey. 

He was a member of St. Leo's Church, Ashley, American Legion Post 673, Ashley, and Newtown Volunteer Fire Department.
