Letter from grandson, Francis Walter, 23 Aug 2005: "My grandfather, Frederick, was a salesman for Hazard Wire Rope Co. In his younger days he traveled all over the United States. I was told he was with them (Hazard Wire Rope Co.) for 38 yrs. I was told my grandmother Phllomena was born in Renovo, PA."

In the first 3 census reports his birthplace is listed as Pennsylvania (1870, 1880 and 1900). Then the next 2 census reports has birthplace of Kansas then Missouri, which is obviously wrong.
