Francis John Everhart was born on 2 Dec 1904 in Pennsylvania.  His parents were James Everhart and Gertrude Joeely.

 In the 1910 census, Francis was 5 years old and born in Pennsylvania.  His father was born in Germany, and his mother in Pennsylvania.  He lived, with his parents and grandfather, on Evans Street, Pringle Township, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.  He was attending school.

In the 1920 census, Francis was 15 years old.  He was working as a clerk in a hardware store.  He was not attending school.  He was living with his parents at 206 Morgan Street, Courtdale Borough, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.

In the 1930 census, Francis was 25 years old.  He was living with his parents and brother at 208 Cooper Street, Courtdale Borough, Pennsylvania.  He was working as a laborer in the adding machine business.

Francis then worked for the US Postal Service sorting mail on a train. 

His siblings worked in the Pennsylvania coal mines until Francis' brother (George) was killed in a mine accident.  Francis decided that he did not want that for  his sons. All his sons went to college and became Engineers except for Francis Jr. who became a Medical Doctor.

Francis John Everhart died on 22 Nov 1986 in Willow Grove, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
